Endodontics

Endodontics is the dental specialty focused on the study and treatment of the root canal, commonly known as "root canal treatment".

Root canal treatment means removing the nerve tissue and cleaning and sterilizing the root canals of the tooth.

When the tooth structure is destroyed by decay, the dental pulp becomes inflamed. The treatment removes it using modern technologies: apex locator, microscope and the FreeFill warm obturation system.

Root canal treatment is performed under local anesthesia, with no painful sensitivity.

The tooth is a hard organ in the oral cavity, made up of a crown and one or more roots anchored in the jawbones for the role of chewing.
